Sinopsis:
El asesino del Origami lleva meses aterrorizando a la población. Ha matado ya a ocho personas, todos niños, cuyos cuerpos aparecen a los 4-5 días de su secuestro con una figura de origami y una orquídea. Los padres ya no dejan a los niños salir a jugar solos al parque, tienen miedo de lo que pueda pasar. Mientras, la policía se encuentra perdida porque no sabe por qué camino llevar la investigación. No hay pruebas, no hay pistas, no hay una luz al final del túnel hacia donde ir. En ese mismo momento, en otro lugar, Shaun Mars desaparece mientras está con su padre, Ethan, y éste comienza una intensa y desenfrenada búsqueda antes de que, como sospecha, sea una nueva víctima de ese demente. Paralelamente, el agente especial del FBI Norman Jayden y el investigador privado Scott Shelby también intentarán encontrar al asesino. Asimismo, se verá envuelta en la búsqueda la periodista Madison Paige, aunque en principio de forma indirecta.
